M.Sc. Nursing- Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecological(OBG) Nursing delivers comprehensive teaching and clinical training across all nursing programs.
In the B.Sc. Nursing program, faculty teach Midwifery and OBG Nursing during the VI and VII semesters, followed by hands-on clinical training during internship.
For Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing students, maternal nursing is taught with a strong focus on theory and clinical application.
In the M.Sc. Nursing- Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing program, faculty provide advanced instruction in obstetric and gynecological nursing, integrating both academic and clinical excellence throughout the first and second years.
Students gain practical exposure in Labour rooms, Antenatal Units, Postnatal units, Infertility Clinics, Family welfare and Gynaecological units, both in the Community and Hospital
The department contributes to the Nurse Practitioner in Critical Care program by facilitating advanced physical assessment and clinical judgment training.
Faculty also coordinate value-added courses such as the Career Development Program to enhance students’ professional readiness.
Faculty are actively involved in guiding undergraduate, postgraduate students, and Ph.D. scholars in research activities and dissertation work, ensuring a strong foundation in evidence-based practice.
