  • Community Health Nursing boasts comprehensive resources that equip students with expertise in preventive, promotive, and rehabilitative healthcare services. Through practical training at Community Health Centers, Primary Health Centers, and Sub-Centers, students gain hands-on experience. Fieldwork opportunities extend to observing communicable disease hospitals, milk dairies, water and sewage treatment plants, and district hospitals, broadening their understanding of community health.
  • The community lab maintains various Information, Education, and Communication materials that enhance effective health training for users, with flashcards, pamphlets, leaflets, flannel graphs and flip charts. Banners and posters are created that support campaigns to deliver health awareness.
  • The  state-of-the-art laboratory  provides computer access together with essential equipment necessary for serving rural and urban communities. 

Students are provided with the following items:

  • Community bag -to perform physical examination, urinalysis and check the vital signs of the individual among the various age groups
  • Nutritional measuring cups-to perform 24 hours dietary recall for all target groups
  • Records and reports – area map, family folders, and assessment forms of various age group
  • Family folders are stored in the department and updated periodically by the students to facilitate long term follow up of clients in the community
